Last night we held an essential information evening in association with WIFT to dispel the myths and hear from real-life users of the REDCam first hand. From pre-production, shooting and post-production our guest speakers shared their personal experiences of working with RED.

James Barr, TVC director with Flying Fish transitioned to working with RED two years ago. He talked about his latest Film Commission funded short film "Koro's Medal" and why he chose RED to capture the essence of this project.

Brenton Cumberpatch, Visual FX supervisor and Images & Sound's RED workflow expert, post produced the first TVCs to be shot in Australasia on RED. He let us know what you need to know about post-production and the benefits of working with RED for visual effects.

Roseanne Laing has just finished her debut feature "My Wedding and Other Secrets". This feature is based on her real life cross – cultural romance. It was great to heari about her foray into the world of RED cam.

Associate Producer Polly Fryer and line producer Liz DiFiore, of This is Not My Life gave us a fabulous insight into the economical side, costs and workflows of one of the first Drama Series to be shot on RED in New Zealand.

Matthew Redmond from Rocket Rentals spoke about the latest updates and changes in RED technology .
