Responding to growing demand for Stereoscopic 3D content, Images & Sound launched Stereoscopic 3D Post Production Services in April 2010.

Images & Sound is a proven industry leader in adopting new technology, from the installation of the Baselight colour grading system 5 years ago to post producing the first commercial in Australasia shot on RED in 2007 and now they have welcomed the next big thing in post production - Stereoscopic 3D.
Images & Sound’s
Baselight 4 Colour Grading Theatre is now equipped with industry leading Stereoscopic 3D viewing technology from RealD, a 4.57 meter silver screen, passive eyewear and the latest version of the Baselight 4 colour grading technology. This provides a powerful, integrated environment for conforming, colour grading and spatialisation of digital Stereoscopic images.
This new Stereoscopic 3D viewing technology will complement Images & Sound already extensive Digital Intermediate services including Flame Visual Effects Compositing and 5.1 Surround Sound.
“When new developments come about, we're going to be part of it” says Paul Lear, one of Images & Sound’s Senior Colourists. “And with the Baselight 4, Flame and Smoke we can colour grade and master for anything, from internet distribution all the way to the future of visual entertainment - Stereoscopic 3D”.
Regarded as one of the world’s leading Baselight Colourists,
Paul Lear travels the globe to grade feature films and as tutor for the Baselight colour grading system. He has just completed the 3D grade on the latest J Williams and Scribe music clip for 3D Live and is currently working on a 3D project for a US client. He is part of a highly experienced team of post production specialists at Images & Sound who can provide essential advice to assist when planning for your next project.
Images & Sound welcomes inquiries regarding Stereoscopic 3D post production and will be holding viewing evenings in their Baselight 4 theatre over the coming months. Please contact
